A team from the Fisheries Committee for the West Central Gulf of Guinea (FCWC) Secretariat accompanied by Yaa Tiwaah, Deputy-Head of the Post Harvest Unit of Ghana’s Fisheries Commission, paid a visit to the DAA Fisheries Training Centre (DFTC) in Kokrobitey, Ghana, on 7th February 2020, to discuss potential collaboration in conducting a fish processors training workshop for women.
The visit is part of activities under FCWC’s FishTrade project to contribute to the improvement of the revenue and quality of post-catch fish in member countries a long of fisheries value chain and within the framework of the cross-border fish trade.
The DFTC was established in 2016 to build the capacity of fisher folk in fish processing and trading practices.
