The Fisheries Committee for the West Central Gulf of Guinea (FCWC) held a meeting of its Advisory and Coordination Committee (ACC) in-person on 14 June 2024, following the last session of the 16th Meeting of the West Africa Task Force (WATF) in Monrovia, Liberia. The meeting was chaired by the Director of the MCS Division of Ghana’s Fisheries Commission, Richard Yeboah, who stood in for the current FCWC ACC chairman, FC’s Executive Director, Fred Antwi-Boadu.
The directors and representatives discussed the FCWC 2023 annual report (including the financial report), the FCWC 2024 workplan and budget, and the venue and date for the 14th Conference of Ministers.
The representative of Liberia confirmed at the session that Liberia will host the 14th Conference of Ministers by the end of December 2024.
