The Fisheries Committee for the West Central Gulf of Guinea (FCWC) participated in the third project technical advisory committee (PTAC) meeting of the International Labour Organization (ILO) 8.7 Accelerator Lab on 15 August 2023, in Tema, Ghana to advance decent work for fishers in Ghana.
As a regional stakeholder in Ghana’s fisheries sector, FCWC participated in the meeting organized to review the progress of the initiative, and to witness the signature of an Implementation Agreement between the ILO and the Ghana Maritime Authority (GMA).
In a short ceremony, The Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations’s(MELR) Director of Policy Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Mrs. Gloria Bortele Noi, and GMA Deputy Director-General, Daniel Appianin, along with ILO National Project Coordinator, Emmanuel Kwame Mensah, signed the Implementation Agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
