A team from the FCWC Secretariat is on mission to Benin and Togo to sensitize their key national agencies such as : Fisheries Directorate, Prefecture Maritimes and Navies in preparation for the joint patrol operation scheduled to take place before the end of 2021.

This will be the first patrol operation organised in FCWC Zone under the West Africa Task Force supported by NORAD and the European Union-funded Improved Regional Fisheries Governance (PESCAO) project.
