The Fisheries Committee for the West Central Gulf of Guinea (FCWC) Secretariat received six laptop computers donated by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) on 9 February 2021 during the FAO team’s visit to the FCWC Headquarters.
The donation was made under an output of the FAO Regional Africa Office (RAF) Technical Cooperation Program (TCP) (TCP/RAF/3709) seeking to support and improve the processes of fisheries data reporting and management at the national level, in association with the regional CECAF-PESAO project.
Both parties used the visit as an opportunity to discuss both the FAO RAF TCP3512 and CECAF-PESCAO project activities and plan for the year ahead.
Focal points are to be nominated by the FCWC Secretariat and assigned the devices with the expectation that they will support the TCP and CECAF-PESCAO project activities on request.

FCWC Communication Officer.
