The South Korean company Dongwon Industries has signed a settlement agreement for violations of the Liberia Fisheries Regulations by the fishing vessels PREMIER and SOLEVANT, owned and operated by the company respectively. Each vessel was fined US$ 1,000,000.00; all fines have now been paid in full.
As per the terms of the agreement, the Government of Liberia releases the F/V PREMIER and the F/V SOLEVANT of the charges of illegal fishing and considers the civil charges of this case closed.
