ANGOLA – Encouraging the implementation of aquaculture is a priority for the Secretariat of State for Fisheries for 2011, revealed on Friday in Luanda the National director of Fisheries, Maria Esperança Pires dos Santos.
Speaking to Angop about the expectations of the sector for 2011, AllAfrica.com reports that the head said the stimulus to the recovery of aquaculture in the country consists of a report on the status of the current state of fish stocks that contains the guidelines and present the results expected in the short and medium term in the filed.
According to Maria Esperança dos Santos, encouragement of the aquaculture sector aims to increase the volume of resources and captures and reduce fishing pressure on fish consumption increased and recover some species in danger of sustainability.
