The FCWC is well established regionally and contributes to the region by: providing a shared platform for member States; building on previous experiences; analyzing the regional and national situation; and implementing solutions to strengthen the role fisheries plays in the social, economic and environmental development of the West Central Gulf of Guinea. FCWC is promoting regional integration through practical implementation of sound fisheries initiatives. As regional integration increases this will contribute to improving governance of the fishery sector and therefore improving benefits for the people of the region.
