The Fisheries Committee for the West Central Gulf of Guinea (FCWC), in conjunction with the Committee on Fisheries of Ghana and the NEPAD Agency is organizing a workshop on regional capacity building on the fight against illegal fishing, from 28 to 31st July , 2014 at the “Hotel Ibis” in Lomé in Togo.
The workshop will be held as a forum for exchange of experiences with different participants namely national experts from member countries of the FCWC, stakeholders and active projects in the region, regional and international consultants . The contributions will be made through national reports, case presentations, consultations, questionnaires and exchanges.
Objective of the workshop
The objective of the workshop is to rely on previous works and those ongoing in the sub-region to fight against IUU fishing in the sub-region and create a platform for exchange of experiences and coordination of efforts at the operational level.
