Pursuant to the capacity-building objectives of the West Africa Task Force (WATF) and the Improved Regional Fisheries Governance in West Africa (PESCAO) projects, the FCWC Regional MCS Centre (RMCSC) has hosted an analyst from TM-Tracking for a 10-day experience-sharing activity.
Core achievements of the activity have been the compilation of a combined license list and several sessions on upgrading the RVMS’ functionality.
The FCWC West Africa Task Force (WATF) was established in 2015 under the Fisheries Intelligence and MCS Support in West Africa project funded by Norad. It is facilitated by the FCWC Secretariat and supported by a Technical Team that includes TMT and Stop Illegal Fishing (SIF).
