The Parliament of the Republic of Ghana has ratified the headquarters agreement of the Fisheries Committee for the West Central Gulf of Guinea. The said agreement paves the way to the effective execution of the FCWC’s activities by virtue of the Convention at the origin of the Committee. Listing the immunities, privileges, exemptions and facilities granted to the FCWC, this agreement gives a legal status to the Committee similar to that of a diplomatic corps, empowering it to be functional and achieve its objectives as an intergovernmental institution.
