Dr. Vanessa Jaiteh is a postdoctoral fellow being hosted by the FCWC and TMT, and the Ecosystems and Environment Programme at the University of Nottingham’s Rights Lab.

She joins the FCWC to help advance the Secretariat’s work on decent work in fisheries, with her research examining links between fishing vessel safety and fishers’ labour conditions.

The research will be informed by collaborations with local, regional, and international organizations.
