The FCWC in partnership with the Japanese International Cooperation (JICA) in Côte d’Ivoire, is organizing a kick- off workshop of the Working Group on Aquaculture (WGAq) on 10 & 11 November 2021, in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire to identify priority actions in the development of aquaculture in the region.

The workshop follows the recommendation of the first regional seminar held from 3 to 5 March 2020, in Cotonou, Benin, which adopted the creation of a permanent framework for aquaculture development in the sub-region.

The workshop aims to also implement the provisions of the 2021-2030 FCWC strategic plan developed to solve the problems and difficulties common to the region.
