The Island’s Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister has spoken at an Interpol conference in West Africa.
The speech outlined progress in Sierra Leone, where they’ve netted an additional $16 million in earnings for the country’s substance fishermen.
There are concerns, from the 50 attending law enforcement officers from the Ivory Coast, that illegal activity – like piracy – being tackled in Sierra Leone is also present there.
Phil Gawne says they’re hoping for similar advice.
